Pembroke has a new town administrator. Troy Brown, 37, of Londonderry, will begin work on Monday, Nov. 29. He was unanimously chosen by the selectmen from a starting field of 28 resumes and from the narrowed- down group of three favorites Wednesday, Nov. 3.

“It was just his attitude,” said Selectman Bill Boudreau. “Couldn’t find a thing wrong. We felt that what he put forth at the two interviews were something that will be very positive for the town in the future. We felt Pembroke is like Londonderry maybe 10, 12 years ago.”

Brown should be familiar with that time, as he has been the administrative support specialist in Londonderry for the past eight years, similar to an assistant town manager.

After eight years in Londonderry, said Brown, there seemed to be little opportunity for advancement.

Brown will be paid $62,200 per year, said Boudreau, and is considered a town employee.
