Hooksett third- and fourth-grade boys travel team wins four of five

Hooksett 24 – Litchfield 3
Hooksett 20– Bedford 14
Londonderry 18 – Hooksett 17

In preseason tournament play, Hooksett dominated in early rounds with wins over Litchfield and Bedford.

Rick Prindiville led the locals with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the two games. Riley Cote, Tyler Gahara, Tony Vasquez, Tanner Walls and Josh Wilson also scored several points each.

In the final round, Hooksett made a valiant effort ending in an 18-17 loss to Londonderry. Cote led the attack with six points. Gahara, Walls, Drew Groves, Jacob Parker and Prindiville combined for 12 markers. Groves made two clutch free throws in the second half, but Londonderry’s Ryan Maloney answered with a pair from the charity stripe with 10 seconds left to lift Londonderry to victory.

Hooksett 28 – Hollis 17
Hooksett 23 – St. Catherine’s of Manchester 14

In its first two games of the regular season, Hooksett again played well. Big scorers were Gahara with eight points, Cote, Prindiville and Wilson.

Highlights included a strong defense against Hollis as well as six rebounds for Wilson and three for Prindiville against St. C’s.
