Lady Monarchs’results
The Catholic Medical Center Lady Monarchs U12Agirls ice hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie with the U14A Nighthawks recently. Tori Gamache, after a mad scramble in front of the net, scored the locals’ only goal. Morgan Enos and Courtney Popsie earned assists. Sarah Chalifoux played an outstanding game in net, including a toe save on a would-be third-period goal.
In a 2-0 setback to the Connecticut Polar Bears, Caitlin Re and Chalifoux split goal-keeping duties, allowing just one goal. The other was an empty-net tally that put the game away.
Jr. Monarchs’results
In a recent battle of Jr. Monarchs Mite house league teams, the Gold team earned its first win of the season by outscoring the White team, 11-8. Rich Rosato got the win in net. Gregory Burdzy scored seven goals and Jace Raney added four for Gold. Dakota Mulkay was the backstop for White, and Thomas Stone scored five of his team’s goals.
Huskies’results
A shorthanded ARCOMM Communications Bantam A Henniker Huskies team fell, 6-2, in an exhibition game against Pleasant Valley. Zach Roever and Matt Lennon scored the goals; Max Murray dished an assist.

American Guardian Septic Squirt B lost in a good effort against the New Hampshire Jr. Wildcats, 7-3. Simon Hunter had two goals and Kurtis Frasier added another for Henniker. Anthony Pezzulo and Kendra Barrasso both had an assist. Spencer Baron and Garrett Houghton skated hard in defeat.
In a 7-1 loss to the Nashua Panthers, Tyler Racowski put in the one goal for the Squirt B team, assisted by Frasier. Gunner Mose and Luke Shiels played well and were backed up by good defense from Jim Larson and Hunter Goss. Nate Kimball-Barr played well in goal.

The Henniker U-14 Lady Huskies dominated in a 3-1 win over Biddeford, Maine recently. The locals outshot Biddeford, 48-1. Kelsey Muller found the net twice, and Abby Kessler added the third goal. Morgan Seney earned a pair of assists, while Glenna Ledoux, Laurel Bauer and Brianne Blaine also had assists.
The girls later lost to Seacoast, 1-0, in a tight, well-played contest.

The Edmunds Ace Hardware Henniker Mite A team traveled to the Great North Woods and defeated Berlin handily. Corey Kasiaras, Cooper Bourque, Colton McAllister, Garrett Thomas, Charlie Callif, Alex Olson and Alex von Svoboda assisted for the unselfish Mite attack. Thomas, Kyle Kolehmainen, McAllister, Charlie Callif, von Svoboda and Shayne Cashin tallied the goals. Goalie Jacob Cordeiro earned the shutout.
