MGSL registration is Jan. 13
MANCHESTER – The Manchester Girls Softball League provides 5- to 18-year-old girls in Manchester and surrounding communities a fun and challenging fast-pitch softball league.
The MGSL registration night is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the New Hampshire Fisher Cats headquarters at 1000 Elm Street in the Hampshire Plaza.
The Babe Ruth-affiliated league is entering its 31st year. If you are unable to attend, the registration form can be downloaded from the league Web site at www.mgslnh.org.

Tennis sign-ups offered to adults
MANCHESTER – USA Tennis New Hampshire is the statewide sponsor of the World Team Tennis League, hosted by the Nashua Swim and Tennis Club. Sign-ups are still available for the winter session that begins Jan. 9.

NHTI hosts hoops camps
CONCORD – New Hampshire Technical Institute will host two basketball clinics for boys and girls in second through eighth grades on consecutive Saturdays, Jan. 15 and 22. Each clinic runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and will be directed by NHTI men’s basketball coach Paul Hogan.

Adult archery class begins Jan. 24
CONCORD – The Concord Community Education Program is offering an adult archery class starting Monday, Jan. 24, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Concord High School. The course continues for six weeks and is open to anyone 17 and older. Equipment will be provided, or you can bring your own.
Participants will receive hands-on experience learning the shooting form, equipment selection and maintenance, as well as a chance to enjoy fun games and various tournaments.
Instructors from the New England School of Archery will offer one-on-one coaching for both beginners and advanced archers. All instructors are certified through the National Archery Association. St. Aoffers winter softball clinics
GOFFSTOWN – The Saint Anselm women’s softball team will host open gym clinics that started Jan. 2 and continue through Feb. 27. The clinics will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. every Sunday morning in the Carr Center. One additional clinic is set for March 13.
Head coach Greg Joseph, his assistants and members of the Hawks softball team will instruct participants in fielding, throwing, catching, pitching and hitting.
