Suncook LL offers registration dates

PEMBROKE – Registration for Suncook Little League’s 2005 season will be held on three Wednesdays, Jan. 26, and Feb. 2 and 9, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., as well as three Saturdays, Jan. 29, and Feb. 5 and 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sign-ups will take place at Pembroke Town Hall this year, not Allenstown Town Hall as in the past. Children ages 5 to 18 who live in Pembroke, Allenstown or Epsom are eligible to enroll to play baseball or softball.

Registration is required even if a child played previously.

At least one parent or legal guardian must be present, with proof of residence, and a copy of the child’s birth certificate. For more information, call Russ Saucier, league president, at 715-2221 or VJ Ranfos III, vice president, at 485-6202.

Bedford Babe Ruth sets sign-ups

The Bedford Babe Ruth League will be holding registrations for the 2005 season Thursday, Jan. 20, and Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the McKelvie School cafeteria from 7 to 9 p.m. Interested players from 13 to 19 are encouraged to sign up. Like last year, the registration fee is $125.

Heat seek two for baseball team

AUBURN – The Youngsville Granite Heat Baseball Club is looking to fill two roster spots on its 14-year-old team. Winter workouts are at the Candia Field House and SportsZone in Derry. To try out, you must have all-star experience and play two positions well. You must also be team age by Aug. 1.

The team schedule will include a year-round program of instruction, games and tournaments. Home games are played at Youngsville’s Baseball Park in Auburn, across from Lake Massabesic.

Rockettes plan weekend tryouts

BEDFORD – The Granite State Rockettes girls AAU basketball club will offer tryouts on consecutive Sundays, Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, at the St. Elizabeth Seton gym, 109 Meetinghouse Road in Bedford.

The tryout time for U10 players is 1:30 to 3 p.m., for U11 players the time is 3 to 4 p.m., for U12 players the time is 4 to 5 p.m., for U13 players the time is 5 to 6 p.m., and for U14 to U17 players the time is 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Please bring a valid AAU membership card, available at www.aausports.org. There will be an additional $15 tryout fee.

Bow Sox have AAU openings

BOW – The New Hampshire Bow Sox 14U AAU baseball team has a few spots open for the 2005 season. Players must turn 14 by July 31, 2005. The Sox offer a high level of play and instruction for committed ballplayers.
