The neighborhood’s two Division II college basketball teams will get a chance to dance at the NCAA Northeast Regional, which takes place March 12, 13 and 15.

St. Anselm and Southern New Hampshire University will have an opportunity to reach the Elite Eight with three straight wins.

The No. 2 seed following its 79-74 win over Bentley in the Northeast-10 Tournament final, St. A, 24-6, will battle 23-7 Bloomfield College of New Jersey in the opening round.

Across town, SNHU earned its third straight trip to the regional. The fourth-seeeded Penmen, 22-7, will face fifthseeded College of Saint Rose, 21-8, for an opportunity to meet the winner of the matchup between top-seeded Bentley and eighth-seeded Queens College.

The NE-10’s 15 schools posted a 54-23 non-conference mark this season. As a result of its strong performance, the conference was rewarded with five of the eight Northeast Regional tournament spots.

Bryant College joins St. A, SNHU, Bentley and the College of Saint Rose as NE-10 representatives.
