Hooksett soccer teams compete in big contests

U11/U12 soccer
Hooksett Paving defeated Paragon Electric, 4-0, at Donati Field on Oct. 12.

David Pinsonneault led the Pavers on offense with two goals. Dylan McGahey and Aiden White added single tallies. Josh Wilson and Pinsonneault combined in goal for the shutout. Brian Jutrus, Kayla McGahey, Samantha Miller and Wilson led Paving's defense.

The Blue Bulldogs beat Hooksett Team 5, 4-1, at Petersbrook Field on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Matt Paradise led the Blue Bulldogs with two goals. Maddie Pryor and Alissa Cate added single scores. Laura Morneau and Katie Dugan also fired shots on goal. On defense, Jeff Pare, Kim Desrochers and Alexis Labrie played well. Kabrina Montambeault had a fine game at midfield.

U14 soccer
In U14 soccer on Oct. 12, Big Red beat Mailbox Express in a rainshortened match at Donati Field, 5-1.

Gerry Desrochers scored three goals to lead the Big Red attack. Austin Fox added a goal and assist, while Wayne Robbins scored on a long blast. Firas Omer, Tim Russell and Jaime Campbell also had strong games on offense.

Big Red goalkeeper Ryan Darby had a fine game. Defenders Kyle Dugan, Derrick Dow and Heather Boulay helped contain the Mailbox Express attack.

Joe Durham, Jacob Murphy, Alex Dunn and Alyssa Prior had strong games for Mailbox Express.

Mailbox Express and Big Red participated in the Kohl's American Cup on Saturday, Oct. 22, in Manchester. The annual tournament, open to recreational programs across the state, welcomed more than 30 teams.

Mailbox Express
In Game 1, ME tied Suncook, 1-1, when Jacob McNamara scored the equalizer with 30 seconds remaining in the match. Joe Durham was stellar in goal, while McNamara and Jason Schmeltz played tough defense.

In Game 2, ME lost to Manchester South, 3-0. Durham made a number of difficult saves in goal. McNamara, Schmeltz, Taylor Friant and Emily Milville played solid defense.

In Game 3, ME lost to Manchester North, 4-0. Schmeltz had a number of scoring chances, while McNamara and Melanie Pryor played solid defense. Durham made big saves in goal.

Hooksett Big Red
In Big Red's first game, the locals faced the Manchester city champions and lost, 4-0. Defenders Derrick Dow, Heather Boulay, and Jamie Campbell stopped several Manchester scoring chances. Alissa Pearl and Brianna Fitzpatrick played well at midfield.

In Game 2, Manchester East defeated BR, 3-1. Wayne Robbins scored BR's goal on a Matt Burdzy pass. Gerry Desrochers and Firas Omer were solid on offense. Kyle Dugan and Tim Russell were tough on defense, while BR goalie Austin Fox made some key saves. Chris Bourgoin played well at midfield.

BR lost its third game, 1-0, against Manchester North. BR goalie Ryan Darby made several saves. Dereck DeBlois, Boulay, Dow and Campbell led the defense. On offense, Robbins, Desrochers and Fox were fixtures in front of Manchester's goal. Dugan and Pearl played well at midfield.
